Learning for licensure & life.

Supervision is a place to be yourself, even if we’re talking about other people.

Becoming a therapist isn’t just about getting grounding in theory, ethics, or licensure exam prep—it’s about building the supportive practices that will carry you through the wild, wonderful moments of this profession. In supervision, you get to show up as your whole self, making wins more meaningful and the tough spots more manageable. From exploring how your personal life shapes your work to creating workflows that fit your unique brand of neurospice, I invite you to bring all of you to the room: no masking, perfect answers, or proving yourself all-knowing required. This is your space—designed to help you balance life and work, deepen your self-awareness, and build the foundation you need to thrive in this career for the long term.

Why work with an AAMFT-Approved Supervisor in Clinical Supervision?

You’re here because you want to sharpen your clinical voice, grow your confidence, and get solid support while earning your hours. Working with an AAMFT-Approved Supervisor means you’re learning from someone who has invested in their craft just as deeply—through rigorous training, mentorship, and hands-on supervised supervision.

This is the gold standard in Marriage and Family Therapy supervision. With an AAMFT-Approved Supervisor, you get guidance that’s informed, encouraging, and grounded in best practices—so you can do your best work with your clients, and for yourself.

Who’s a good fit for clinical supervision at Oak Grove Counseling?

I work with therapists who have graduated from a master’s level therapy program designed for future MFTs, LPCs, or LCSWs, and are earning their clinical hours for licensure. I also work with licensed clinicians who would like consultation on work with children, families, people who experienced abuse in childhood, violence, and neurodiversity. Some of the therapists I work with are earning hours for EMDR certification through EMDRIA.

The therapists I work with aren’t afraid to ask questions and are values-driven. They care about cultural humility, stories of immigration and shifting identities, and the larger systems their clients move through. They’re thoughtful, curious about power dynamics and discourses, and not afraid to laugh while diving into the meaningful, sometimes messy conversations that help shape their emerging niches in the field.

Previous supervisees have gone on to work as therapists in private practice, in community mental health, and school settings.

My professional highlights

  • Megan Rogers, MS MFT, Pennsylvania: MF001380 & California: 129870

  • Clinical experience from: community mental health, domestic violence support services, school-based mental health, and private practice.

  • My niche (yours doesn’t have to match, but it can guide our work): working with kids, adults, and families with experiences of anxiety, trauma, and transitions. Perfectionists, over-achievers, ‘former gifted kids,’ neurodivergent folks, and people who aren’t totally sure they can take a compliment (yet).

  • Training in: EMDR (including IFS-Informed EMDR, structural dissociation, somatic interventions, and play interventions), Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Integrative Therapy Practices, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (including neurodivergent friendly DBT), Structural Family Therapy, and Play Therapy including Child Centered Play Therapy, Filial Play Therapy, and Sand Tray. I’m looking forward to starting Somatic Experiencing training in winter 2026.

  • Trainings I provide to clinical teams: Integrative Therapy practices to support therapy work with trauma, play in therapy and working with children, how to work effectively with child welfare services, and working with children and families to establish safety after violence.

  • Published: Specifically about working with multiple languages in therapy, with a few other pots on the burners. (ADHD creativity at it’s finest- iykyk). There are also some articles featuring my artwork out there.

  • Want to read more? There’s plenty to see here and more about my trainings publications here.

The details:

  • Sessions: Individual and triadic sessions are 60 minutes, group sessions are 2 hours, for AAMFT-approved depth and quality. Frequency is flexible and tailored to your licensure needs, learning style, and goals.

  • In-Person & Online: 1-1 and Triadic sessions are available online and at my office in Havertown, PA. Group supervision is currently online. If enough folks want to meet in-person for group, I’m happy to explore that option.

    • NEW: Online Group Supervision on Tuesday mornings from 10AM-12PM, Eastern Time.

  • How we’ll talk about therapy: I usually start with a SFT check in where you can update me on on any major changes and then we set an agenda of topics together. I welcome collaborative conversations, and if you would like direct psychoeducation from me, I can provide instruction as well. We will talk about how who you are and where you’ve been impact the therapy you are providing. We will certainly discuss human and child development, neurodiversity, family systems, and accessibility in therapy, as well as keeping tabs on how race, ethnicity and social location impact our client’s experiences, and our experiences of them. We will take a systemic lens to the challenges our clients face, working on shifting the focus from one ‘identified patient’ to understanding the family, social, and cultural patterns that reinforce challenges, and often, solutions. Safety discussions are always prioritized. We will discuss case consultations, special interest topics, career goals, ethics questions, and preparation for licensure.

  • Brass Tacks: We’ll set up a learning contract at the start of our work together and we’ll make sure to check in with goals quarterly.

  • California AMFTs: The BBS requires an agreement/contract to be established between me and your place of work in order to provide supervision. We can chat to figure out if this is an appropriate path for your supervision needs. Find more information about requirements here.

I’m available to work with therapists nationally, through telehealth and in-person at my Havertown, PA office.
