Working with CWS: Advocating for Kids & Families

Meg Rogers

Abstract

A comprehensive review of mandated reporter law and ethics practices, with special attention on how to make reports with the child’s needs as central and most influential. This includes preparation for the report, making the report collaboratively with clients or their parents, and rejoining with clients after a report is made, without over exposing clients or violating confidentiality. Case examples provided for reflection and debate to hone skills and encourage critical thinking.
