A safe place to explore new ways to be present.
A therapy space should be comfortable and peaceful. A helpful therapy office makes it easy to stay present in the room, so that you can understand yourself, your past, and create greater balance in your present life. In this place, we don’t have to distract or convince ourselves out of our truths: we can explore and transform. The office at Oak Grove Counseling, LLC is a safe place to address experiences of trauma, anxiety, neurodiversity and disability, while experiencing bright light, leafy trees and plants, and birdsong. The office is a short block from the Pennsy Trail, giving opportunity for walking sessions.
FAQs

1
Free street parking is abundant and available directly next to the office.
Is the office fragrance-free?
2
Yes, Oak Grove Counseling, LLC’s office is a fragrance-free space. I am committed to making the space as friendly as possible to those with strong reactions to scent and scent memory. I also use an air filter in the office to help keep the space comfortable. To learn more about why fragrance-free environments are helpful to healing click here.
Do you use AI in therapy? Why not?
3
I do not use AI in sessions or to help my documentation. Most AI note taking platforms rely on recordings of client sessions to produce notes. I value your privacy and can take my own notes. I use my note-taking practice to help me think critically about our work together and reflect on progress and future goals. I can’t do that if AI tries (I have to say try, because AI isn’t great at accuracy at this point) to do the job for me. Additionally, I love the environment and am committed to doing my part in keeping water accessible and noise pollution to a minimum.
