Consultation for Licensed Therapists
Support for complex cases, burn out recovery, and therapist executive function skill development.
Working together to lighten the load.
Burnt out? Overwhelmed? Exhausted by some of your clients?
You’re a conscientious, knowledgable, ethical therapist. And you’re exhausted. I help depleted, emotionally exhausted, and stumped therapists recover, reorganize, and return to their energized selves again. Clinical consultation is about having a container to explore and continue to learn, in a format that fits your needs and respects you as a professional, and as a person. Think supervision without the power dynamic. Or, maybe, chisme for good.
We’re a good fit for consultation if:
You are curious to learn more about family systems work and the impact of trauma and neurodiversity.
You are neurodiverse (maybe an official or suspected ADHD or ASD diganosis, or maybe you’re the recovering gifted kid) and you want to figure out ways to get your admin work done without grinding yourself down.
You want to learn about connecting somatic, integrative work with Narrative or Solution Focused Therapy.
You are disabled and want to develop practices and set ups that are sustaining to your body and business.
You’re noticing that some of the challenging elements of your own childhood are walking through the door with your clients.
You want space to consider how culture, immigration histories, and language are impacting clients and relationships with their families.
You’re burnt out and need help lightening your caseload, considering alternative revenue streams, and making sure your days are balanced.
You want to learn more about domestic violence, interpersonal violence, and family violence.
You have a client (or several) where affect doesn’t seem to match content, behavior feels a bit erratic, you suspect much goes unspoken in session, and you feel stuck- but you know the client is trying and wants to feel better.
You want to move your practice to another state or are pursuing licenses in multiple states.

What does consultation look like?
You’ll have 55 minutes of uninterrupted time with me to discuss the topics you’d like to address. You decide how often we meet, and if you’d like to meet once, twice, or for a longer period of time. We’ll identify your goals for consultation and stick with them. I’m going to ask questions to elicit reflection from you, but I’m also not afraid to provide direct answers, including references and links to other helpful materials. We’ll check in to make sure the meetings are helping you meet your needs.
I’m available to work with therapists nationally through telehealth and in-person at my Havertown, PA office.
