Very Young Children & Families
Therapy for children ages 3-5. Life, and big feelings, happen fast during early childhood. Develop an empowered, capable stance to your child’s safe point in any storm. Help them by honing your skills.
-
We will combine creativity, play, and connectedness with developmental psychology and parenting skills to help small children build confidence, a sense of safety, and return to playfulness after tough times, and during them. This, in turn, will help your entire family’s quality of life. Family and parent sessions put you at the center of your child’s healing.

Curiosity, independence, and understanding can help your child balance the pressures of school, friends, relationships, gifts, and passions, while they grow into the healthiest versions of themselves.
-
We will combine creativity, playfulness, reflective conversation, and age-appropriate communication, regulation, executive function, and social skills tools to support children and teens in developing their identities, values, and hopes for the future. Family therapy is used when indicated to help families and kids grow together, not apart.

Group Therapy
Group therapy is a place to learn, process, and be heard by people who share your concerns and hopes. It’s a place to be challenged in a caring way, and to build community. That’s why, for some experiences, group therapy can have even more benefit than individual therapy.
-
Groups are kept small enough that you won’t feel lost in the crowd, but large enough that you won’t always be in the spotlight. It’s a place where you can listen and learn from the experiences of others and my knowledge as a therapist, or offer your own insights or challenges for reflection. This is a confidential, caring community.

Family Therapy
As families age, roles and jobs change, and energy levels shift, family members need to learn to come together in new ways. Sometimes this is through learning to hear one another’s past experiences; sometimes this is through collaborating to turn an imagined future into reality. Family therapy offers support and a container for important conversations.
-
After assessing individual family members for their interest and readiness for family therapy, we will meet to identify mutually agreeable treatment goals. Sessions are centered on doing conversations and behaviors differently- we are actively creating something new, together.

Intensives: Therapy sessions longer than 1 hour
Sometimes, you might need to meet for more than one hour to get what you need from therapy. This might be due to personal preference, neurodiversity, or the therapy modality we are using in session. Longer sessions are offered for all modalities on a weekly basis. EMDR intensives are offered for multiple days within one week.
-
Timing is everything. Do do really important, hard work, especially around trauma, we sometimes need to invest time in establishing safety before we can make additional headway in therapy. This can help improve outcomes and reduce the likelihood of the dreaded ‘therapy hangover’ when we are working through big topics, events, and physiological responses.

For Everyone: The Resource Library
A constant work in progress, currently under major construction. The resource library offers reflections, ideas, concepts and resources to support you in your mental health journey. Topics include neurodiversity, trauma, anxiety, and sensory challenges. Resources are for the general public and clinicians, but do not take the place of therapy with a licensed therapist or clinical consultation or supervision.
